It is quiet in the house right now. Terrance is out....Emily is at my mothers for a couple of days of school vacation...
So I am blessedly alone in the house....
Unless you count the cat. The Shaved Cat.
Ah, yes. Since her shaving, the cat has become a miniature Emily. Needy, meowing, constantly touching me - begging for food. This morning, with Emily safely away in Vermont, I awoke to the shaved cat asleep on my chest. Apparently there is a cosmic "hit" out on my ability to sleep without being touched by any other living creature and the cat and Emily are paid assassins.
And you know what else? I caught Terrance buying treats for the cat!!! In the absence of our child, he buys kitty treats!
And now, I must pry the shaved cat from her sleeping perch on my foot and get ready to go into school.

I swear, that picture looks like you photoshopped a cat's head and legs onto a chicken's body. I bet she's even more bizarre looking in person!

That is the most pissed-off looking cat I have EVER seen. And yet, she is slowly turning you into a cat lover, I just know it.

She sure does look pissed.
Are you sure the neediness isn't a ploy? It sounds to me like she's trying to throw you off track before pulling out big-time revenge for getting shaved.

I agree- if I were you I would really watch your back. Now that she is shaved- she is definitely going to be looking for revenge!!!

That is one baleful expression on that cat. It is catching, it seems. She looks a bit ewok-ish, no?

Oh my god, it looks like her head is too heavy for her body...like by just stadning there she's defying gravity!
